Suddenly, a commotion erupted near the river. A small group had gathered, pointing and whispering. Hana and Yuna exchanged curious glances and pushed their way through the crowd. "What's happening?" Hana asked an ajumma (elderly woman) with a kind face. The ajumma sighed, "The Harvest Moon lantern display... it's been ruined! The wind last night tore them all down!" Yuna gasped. The Harvest Moon Festival without lanterns? It was unimaginable!

But don't you worry, my dears." She smiled. "I have a plan." Halmeoni led them to the attic, filled with forgotten treasures. She rummaged through dusty boxes and pulled out rolls of vibrant hanji paper (traditional Korean paper), bamboo frames, and brushes.

The next morning, Hana and Yuna went door-to-door, explaining their predicament. At first, the neighbors seemed hesitant, busy with their own Chuseok preparations. But then, Mr. Park, the gruff but kind carpenter, offered his help. "I can build stronger frames!" he boomed. Soon, others joined in. Mrs. Kim, the talented seamstress, volunteered to sew intricate silk decorations. Even the children from the neighborhood offered to paint the lanterns.

Halmeoni tried to reassure them, but even she looked discouraged. "We'll never finish in time," Yuna sobbed, tears streaming down her face. The festival was only a day away. The stakes rose dramatically, therefore their original plan was at risk.
