This was the Grand Repository, the heart of all tales ever told, and where three young apprentices were about to begin their final trial.

"According to legend," Kai began, consulting a crumbling scroll, "the Loyal Heart, a spirit of unwavering loyalty, sleeps within the Forgotten Wing.

Ren swallowed hard. "The Forgotten Wing is said to be filled with illusions... and traps! Are we ready for this?

"So you seek the Loyal Heart?" it hissed, its voice a chorus of whispers. "Prove your worth... or be lost to the library forever!" Zara stepped forward, her hand resting on the hilt of a spirit-summoning blade.

The golem lunged, its massive fists crushing the stone floor. Kai raised his amulet, summoning a shield of pure energy, but the golem shattered it with ease.
