The wind howled like a banshee across the endless, frozen tundra. Jagged peaks clawed at a sky the color of bruised knuckles. Here, at the edge of the world, lay the Colossus, a machine of forgotten power, half-buried in ice and snow.
Page 2

Kira, the scavenger, trudged through the snow, her breath misting in the frigid air. Her eyes, sharp and determined, scanned the horizon. She had heard whispers of this place, of the power it held, and the danger it promised. This was her chance.
Page 3

"Kira, wait up! This ice is slicker than a greased gronnck!" boomed a voice behind her. Boris, her hulking companion, struggled to keep pace, his breath pluming around his bearded face. "This better be worth the frostbite, lass."
Page 4

Suddenly, the ground bucked beneath them. A deafening roar shattered the silence. From the depths of the ice, a colossal hand burst forth, metal groaning and ice shattering. The Colossus was awakening.
Page 5

"What in the blazes was that?!" Boris bellowed, stumbling backward. Kira's eyes widened, a mixture of fear and excitement in their depths. "It's real... it's actually real!" she gasped, clutching her rifle.
Page 6

"Run, Kira! RUN!" Boris yelled, grabbing her arm. "That thing will turn us into paste!" Kira yanked her arm free. "No! This is it, Boris! This is what we came for!" she shouted back, her voice barely audible over the Colossus's grinding gears.

Kira raised her rifle, aiming at a glowing crystal embedded in the Colossus's shoulder. "Time to see what this old girl can do," she muttered. She squeezed the trigger, a beam of energy lancing out toward the behemoth.
Page 8

The energy beam struck the crystal, and the Colossus shuddered. A wave of pure energy pulsed outward, throwing Kira and Boris to the ground. The air crackled with power, and the Colossus stood fully erect, its eyes glowing with an eerie light.
Page 9

Kira groaned, pushing herself to her feet. "We're in trouble now," she muttered, spitting out snow. Boris, still prone on the ground, stared up at the Colossus in disbelief. "Trouble? We're doomed! That thing is a walking mountain!"

Kira looked at the weapon. It was the only thing she had. 'The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step,' she remembered Lao Tzu saying. She had to focus. If she could just get inside...
Page 11

Suddenly, the ground beneath them began to crack. "Kira! Look out!" Boris screamed. From the depths below, a monstrous, ice-encrusted creature emerged, its eyes burning with a frigid fire. It lunged towards them.
Page 12

"We can't fight both that thing AND the Colossus!" Boris shouted, firing his own weapon at the ice creature. Kira dodged a swipe from the creature's claws, narrowly avoiding being sliced in two. "We have to use it against the Colossus!"
Page 13

Kira, using the Colossus to her advantage, fired at the ice creature, luring it towards the giant robot. The creature lunged, its massive claws tearing into the Colossus's leg. An explosion ripped through the air as the crystal was struck, triggering a chain reaction.
Page 14

The Colossus staggered, its movements becoming erratic. "What did you do?!" Boris yelled, shielding his eyes from the debris. "I destabilized its core!" Kira shouted back. "Now's our chance! Get to its head!"
Page 15

They scrambled up the Colossus's leg, dodging falling debris and sparking wires. The machine lurched and groaned, threatening to throw them off at any moment. They had to reach the head, to find the control core.
Page 16

Reaching the head, Kira found a shattered viewport, revealing a chaotic mess of wires and sparking energy. "This is it!" she yelled. "The control core!" But something was wrong. There was a human form slumped inside, connected to the machine.
Page 17

"What in the world...?" Boris murmured, peering over her shoulder. "Is that...? A person?" Kira reached out, touching the glass. "It is... but who? And how are they controlling this thing?"
Page 18

Suddenly, the human form stirred. Its eyes snapped open, glowing with the same eerie blue light as the Colossus. A voice, distorted and mechanical, echoed in their minds. "You... cannot... stop... me."
Page 19

Kira gripped her weapon, her eyes narrowed. This was more than just salvaging a machine. This was about saving a life, even if it meant facing an impossible foe. She will have to make a decision, what to do next!
Page 20

The Colossus turned towards the horizon, its glowing eyes fixed on a distant city. The end is just the beginning. Kira knew her journey had just begun, a desperate race to understand the Colossus, its pilot, and the force that controlled them both.
