Alice in Wonderland
Coming to Wonder Tales on 30 November 2026.
On a drowsy golden afternoon beside the river, Alice sees a White Rabbit in a checked waistcoat take a watch out of his pocket and complain that he is late, and she runs after him straight down a rabbit-hole under the hedge. She falls a very long way into a hall of locked doors, drinks from a bottle marked DRINK ME and shrinks, eats a cake marked EAT ME and shoots up, weeps a pool of tears and then swims in it, and comes ashore with a crowd of dripping birds and beasts who run a Caucus-race in which everybody wins. She is mistaken for a housemaid at the White Rabbit's house, grows until she fills it entirely and must be smoked out, and then meets a blue Caterpillar on a mushroom who asks her who she is and leaves her with a mushroom that makes her tall or small at will. She visits the Duchess's peppery kitchen, carries away a baby that turns into a pig, and is advised by the grinning Cheshire Cat, who fades away until only the grin is left. She sits down uninvited at an endless tea-party with the Hatter, the March Hare and a sleeping Dormouse, walks through a tree into the Queen of Hearts' garden where gardeners are painting white roses red, and plays croquet with a flamingo for a mallet and a hedgehog for a ball while the Queen shouts 'Off with his head!' at everybody — though the King quietly pardons every prisoner the moment her back is turned. The Gryphon takes her to hear the Mock Turtle's sighing story of his schooling under the sea, and then hurries her off to the trial of the Knave of Hearts, accused of stealing the Queen's tarts. As the evidence grows more nonsensical Alice grows larger and larger, and when the Queen screams for her head the whole pack of cards rises into the air and comes flying down at her — and Alice wakes on the riverbank with dead leaves falling on her face, telling her sister the whole curious dream.
