Robin Hood

Coming to Wonder Tales on 6 December 2026.

Robin Hood, a young yeoman of Nottinghamshire, is declared an outlaw for shooting the King's deer, and flees into Sherwood Forest, where he gathers a band of men in Lincoln green who live beneath the greenwood tree. On a narrow log bridge he loses a quarterstaff bout to a seven-foot stranger and wins him as a friend, naming him Little John; at a ford he tricks a stout, singing friar into carrying him across, and the two of them tumble into the water and end as sworn companions. The band robs fat bishops and greedy barons on the road and carries the gold by night to the hungry folk of Nottingham, until the Sheriff of Nottingham, furious at being made a fool, proclaims a shooting match for a golden arrow as a trap. Robin comes in a tattered scarlet cloak with a patched eye, splits the Sheriff's best archer's shaft down the middle, takes the prize and escapes. When Maid Marian is seized by the Sheriff's men on the Nottingham road, the band rescues her in a running chase and brings her safe to the greenwood. At last a tall stranger in a black monk's cloak comes feasting with the outlaws, throws back his hood, and is King Richard himself, who pardons Robin and all his men and rides with them out of the forest.
