This baobab root is steeper than it looks," she replied, scrambling to keep up with her brother.

"I have something for you, Mariama," she said, holding out a small, intricately carved wooden whistle. “My grandfather made it. It’s said to call the stories from the baobab itself.” Kofi rolled his eyes. “Just don't get lost chasing tales again,” he warned.

A shimmering figure materialized before them – a guardian of the library made of pure light. "To unlock the true power of the tales," the figure said, "you must answer a riddle: I have cities, but no houses, forests, but no trees, and water, but no fish. What am I?" Kofi scratched his head. "That's impossible!" Mariama, remembering the wooden whistle, realized something. She blew into the whistle, a specific sequence of notes she hadn't consciously learned.
