"This compass," Professor Maris explained, adjusting his glasses, "is attuned to the vibrations of the surface world. It was created by the ancient Aquamarinians who first explored above.". Coralia looked up, her brow furrowed. "So, it can really guide us to the surface?" she questioned.

"Indeed," Maris confirmed, "But be warned, as Leonardo da Vinci said, 'Nothing deceives us as much as our own judgment.' Trust the compass, but trust your instincts too."

Flipper asked, his voice trembling slightly. "It's going to be dark and probably full of creepy crawlies.". Coralia took a deep breath, holding the compass tightly. The tunnel entrance was narrow and led to a series of very tight bends.

"These aren't just tunnels," Coralia whispered, tracing the glyph. "They're ancient maps!" She gently rubbed the glyph with her hand, her palm glowing slightly as the glyph lit up. The light revealed a whole series of interconnected waterways which appeared on the wall.

"Don't worry, Coralia," Flipper squeaked, nudging her hand with his snout. "We'll figure this out together. They moved along the passageway, always deeper into the heart of the tunnels.

MEDIUM WIDE SHOT: The tunnels open into a vast underground lake. Coralia remembers what Professor Maris taught her: 'The Aquamarinians used the unique echoes in the cavern to navigate'. She closes her eyes and calls out, listening intently to the reverberations. "The surface must be directly above!" Coralia exclaimed, pointing to a spot on the lake's surface where the echoes seemed strongest. Using the oar she grabbed, she and Flipper found a small boat and started paddling.

DUTCH ANGLE / TILTED SHOT: As they paddle towards the center of the lake, a whirlpool forms, pulling them downwards. "Hold on tight!" Coralia shouted as the boat spun violently. The broken compass, seemingly drawn by an unseen force, floats above them, pointing directly into the swirling vortex. "Let's go!" she shouts, knowing they have to trust in the final act of the compass.
