"Welcome, young traveler," a voice boomed. Ishani turned to see a man in a simple, tweed suit, standing near a rushing underground stream.

We need a 'dam' to hold the water back."

He pointed to several models made of clay and stone. "It was like the quote from Thomas Edison about inventing the lightbulb — 'I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.'"

Maybe someday we'll have our own little dam powering the house!"
