Winona, chopping sky-carrots for dinner, chuckled. "Oh, honey, it wasn't always this simple. People had to work incredibly hard for every single grain."

Felix's eyes widened. "Really? Like, how hard?" He grabbed his worn leather notebook and ran to his room, the metallic floor humming beneath his feet.

He landed with a thump in a muddy field. The air was thick with dust and the smell of sweat. "Where am I?" he exclaimed, coughing. A young girl, Adriana, wiping her brow with a dirt-stained cloth, looked at him curiously. "'The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing,'" she said, quoting Socrates. "My grandpa always says that, and right now, you look like you know nothing about harvesting."

"But imagine the impact!" Felix exclaimed. "Think of how much time and effort this would save. In the United States alone, in 1830, it took 250-300 labor-hours to produce five acres of wheat. A combine harvester would drastically reduce that!" Hiram smiled. "Exactly! It's about helping people and being more efficient. The first combine harvester was invented in 1834 by Hiram Moore and J. Hascall. But there is so much more to come."
